About the Role
We’re hiring an experienced Trailer Repair Technician to support our growing fleet with both in-shop repairs and mobile service. If you can diagnose issues fast, repair trailers the right way, and document your work clearly, we want to talk.
What You’ll Do
- Perform trailer diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance (PMs)
- Handle both shop work and mobile/road calls as needed
- Repair/replace brakes and running gear (air brakes, slack adjusters, drums, hubs, bearings)
- Troubleshoot lights, wiring, air leaks, landing gear, doors, floors, and more
- Complete accurate work orders/notes in our CMMS.
- Maintain safe work practices and keep the truck/shop organized
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on trailer repair experience (required)
- Strong brake repair experience (required)
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with fleet leadership
- Valid driver’s license; clean, dependable attendance
- Comfortable working outdoors, in a shop environment, and responding to mobile service needs
DOT Inspection Requirement (Important)
This role includes signing DOT annual/periodic inspections and performing brake inspections/repairs. Candidates must be able to meet FMCSA qualification requirements for annual inspections and brake work (we’ll verify experience/training and maintain required documentation).
Preferred
- DOT/annual inspection experience
- Welding/fabrication
- CDL preferred but not required
