Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives and operational requirements.
- Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships to achieve the best value, quality, and service.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including supplier selection, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contract administration, and vendor performance management.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, service-level agreements (SLAs), payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, industry trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, production, logistics, and cross-functional teams to forecast purchasing needs.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Analyze procurement data, spending patterns, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
- Support inventory management initiatives to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize supply chain disruptions.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation, contracts, and supplier records.
- Participate in strategic sourcing, supplier risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics, Commerce, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, contract negotiation, and purchasing best practices.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar procurement platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and vendor performance.
- Knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and supply chain operations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, commercial awareness, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), or equivalent.
- Experience with strategic sourcing, spend analysis, supplier audits, and procurement analytics.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working in manufacturing, healthcare, retail, technology, or distribution environments.
