- Design and develop vehicle wiring harnesses for electrical and electronic systems.
- Create and maintain wiring schematics, circuit diagrams, and harness drawings.
- Develop harness routing, packaging, branch locations, connector selections, and attachment strategies.
- Work with high-voltage systems, including HV battery, charging, inverter, and power distribution where applicable.
- Select and validate connectors, terminals, wires, seals, clips, grommets, and protective materials.
- Perform electrical calculations including wire sizing, current capacity, voltage drop, and fuse/circuit protection.
- Collaborate with electrical architecture and component engineers to define circuit requirements.
- Coordinate with vehicle packaging teams to ensure proper harness routing and clearance.
- Support DFMEA, DVP&R, design reviews, and electrical validation.
- Investigate and resolve harness-related issues identified during prototype build, testing, and production.
- Support prototype and vehicle builds, including harness installation and troubleshooting.
- Work with suppliers to review harness designs, drawings, specifications, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Support ECR/ECN and change-management processes.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable automotive standards and OEM requirements.
- Support manufacturing teams with harness assembly, routing, installation, and serviceability concerns.
Pay: $88,780.69 - $100,000.00 per year
