Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and addressing their needs.
- Assist with product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and sales.
- Upsell products and promote special offers to maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and merchandise displays.
- Stock shelves as needed to ensure product availability for customers.
- Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as necessary.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist with pricing, discounts, and inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding customer feedback or issues.
Experience
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
