Key Responsibilities:
Patient Registration
- Efficiently manage front desk operations for accurate and courteous patient registration.
- Warmly greet patients and handle inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
- Collect and verify patient information, including personal details, insurance, and medical history.
- Accurately enter patient data into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Record patient visits in our EMR/EHR system, ensuring thorough documentation of referrals.
Communications
- Answer incoming calls from patients, family members, and healthcare professionals.
- Assess needs and direct inquiries to appropriate departments or personnel.
- Maintain detailed documentation of phone conversations, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Customer Service and Conflict Resolution
- Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and compassionately.
- Resolve issues effectively, seeking guidance from supervisors when necessary.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
Documentation and Record Keeping
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions in EHR systems.
- Securely maintain electronic medical records, complying with privacy regulations.
- Compile data and generate reports for quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Background in healthcare or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and innovate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at managing change and high-stress situations.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and front-office requirements.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with physical demands including standing and walking for extended periods.
- This role requires three 12-hour shifts schedule per week with day and night flexibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a medical facility or clinical
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Willingness to work both night and day shifts when needed
