About Beth Emeth Early Childhood Center (BEECC): BEECC is a warm, welcoming early childhood program, located in Herndon, VA. We are a play-based preschool that provides a nurturing, supportive environment for young children.
Position Description: We are looking for an engaging, responsible and caring Assistant Teacher to join our team. The position will assist in our afternoon aftercare program, working with children ages 2-5. Scheduled hours will be 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Monday–Thursday and 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Friday.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children in a school, camp or childcare setting. Coursework in early childhood education is a plus. The ideal candidate will be confident working with young children; knowledgeable about early childhood development; able to take direction and work as part of a team; comfortable communicating appropriately with children and colleagues; and be enthusiastic about providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children.
In order to successfully perform the essential duties of this position, candidates must be able to frequently bend, stoop, squat, crouch and move around quickly. Candidates must also be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
The starting pay rate for this position is $18 per hour.
