Flexlume Sign Company is looking for an experienced Shop Foreman / Lead Fabricator to help lead our sign fabrication department.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The right person will be able to fabricate, weld, read shop drawings, organize daily workflow, support other shop employees, and help keep projects moving on schedule. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates clearly, and can help maintain a productive, organized, and safe shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day workflow in the fabrication shop
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
- Measure, cut, shape, weld, and assemble sign components
- Perform metal fabrication, primarily aluminum
- Perform MIG welding; aluminum MIG welding experience strongly preferred
- Operate fabrication equipment, power tools, saws, welding machines, and other shop tools safely
- Assign and distribute work to shop team members
- Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and consistency
- Help keep projects on schedule by coordinating with project managers and other departments
- Attend weekly production meetings and provide updates on shop timelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Help train and support other shop employees as needed
Qualifications
- Previous fabrication, manufacturing, or sign-industry experience
- Strong metal fabrication skills
- Welding experience required; aluminum MIG welding preferred
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Ability to safely operate common fabrication tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as needed
- Supervisory, lead fabricator, or shop foreman experience preferred
- Good communication skills and ability to work with other departments
Preferred Experience
- Sign manufacturing or custom fabrication experience
- Experience leading or organizing shop employees
- Forklift experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to solve problems and keep work moving without constant supervision
Pay and Benefits
- $30–$36 per hour, based on experience
- Higher pay considered for candidates with strong sign-industry, welding, and leadership experience

Pay: $30.61 - $36.86 per hour
