Toyota Lift Northwest is looking for a detailed Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist will be proactive and take ownership of the full Accounts Payable cycle, vendor reporting, policy compliance, 1099 tax reporting, company payments and reconciliation. This person will participate actively in ensuring the company's assets and liabilities are properly accounted for, protected from risk and paid in a timely manner.

Specific Duties:
- Accurately and promptly enter and code high volume of vendor invoices in accounting system with a high degree of accuracy
- Ensure proper approvals are obtained in accordance with company policies
- Manage the electronic data repository of vendor invoices, ensuring prompt resolution of vendor invoices
- Manage and reconcile petty cash for the Clackamas office
- Manage vendor payments including ACH, wire, and check runs
- Maintain and monitor AP aging to ensure timely payments and appropriate cash flow management
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Prepare month-end accruals and assist with close activities related to accounts payable
- Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and investigate variances
- Act as primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and issue resolution
- Maintain vendor records, including W-9s, payment terms, and banking details
- Ensure compliance with 1099 reporting and year-end vendor reporting requirements
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and audit requirements
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations
- Identify and mitigate risk areas within the AP process
- Serve as a subject matter expert for accounts payable processes and systems
- Identify process improvement opportunities and drive automation or efficiency initiatives
- Partner with Procurement, Accounting, and Finance teams to streamline workflows
- Other duties as requested
Required Skills:
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Excellent customer service skills
- Prior experience and strong ability using computer applications, particularly MS Excel, MS Word and MS Access
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reconciliations)
- Strong communication, both written and oral
- Detail oriented with strong time management and organization abilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Experience in a senior or lead AP role strongly preferred
- Clear background check and pre-employment drug screen (required)
Physical Demands:
- This position requires candidate to sit for long periods of time. Candidate may be required to lift up to 30 pounds, periodically.
Pay Range:
- The hourly range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
