Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of facilities and equipment across our YMCA locations. Your expertise will ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for staff and members alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead maintenance efforts with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including electrical equipment repair and electrical work using schematics and ohmmeters
- Conduct HVAC system repairs and routine servicing to ensure optimal climate control within facilities
- Execute plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including plumbing fixtures and piping systems
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for carpentry, painting, welding, and general facilities maintenance tasks
- Supervise maintenance projects, coordinate with team members, and provide leadership in daily operations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Inspect facilities interior spaces regularly to identify issues related to building interior maintenance and facilities equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), with strong mechanical knowledge
- Skilled in working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical equipment repair, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and building interior maintenance
- Hands-on experience with welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), plumbing repair, HVAC system repair, and electrical work
- Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in a maintenance environment
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices within manufacturing or similar settings
- Customer service orientation to ensure positive interactions with staff and members during maintenance activities

Pay: $49,535.00 - $61,918.00 per year
