Shipping Team Member: Full-Time & Part-Time
Bases Loaded-The Baseball & Softball Superstore in Rancho Cordova, CA is growing and we are looking to hire Full-Time & Part-Time Shipping Team Members to join our team. We are looking for long-term permanent employees, not seasonal or temporary help. No Recruiters!!! Starting hourly wage depends on experience and is $18 - $22 an hour.
Requirements:
Previous shipping or customer service experience – preferred.
A passion for baseball, softball, and/or sporting goods – a plus.
An understanding of baseball or softball equipment – a plus.
Strong work ethic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle a variety of tasks throughout the day and/or week while maintaining a high level of accuracy and speed.
Shows up to shifts with appropriate attire and appearance according to company policies.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Maintain a positive, customer-centric attitude by listening, understanding, and responding to customer needs while being committed to exceptional customer service.
Communicate effectively and professionally with all team members and customers.
Read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
Basic computer knowledge.
Great attention to detail to limit errors.
Freely access all areas of the store including the warehouse, shipping area, sales floor, stock area, and register area by standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching, kneeling and climbing a ladder; ability to lift and/or move up to 50 (fifty)pounds at any given time.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, sometimes entire shift (6-8 hours).
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates including the ability to work as needed on weekends, closing shifts, and some holidays.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ship to complete Monday through Friday.
Prepare merchandise for shipment, ensuring proper packaging, verifying inventory and quantity for accuracy and labeling.
Shipping - Generate shipping labels and documentation for outbound shipments (creating labels using various shipping software).
Packaging and weighing orders for shipments by ensuring product protection and best cost savings for Bases Loaded.
Complete all returns daily including refunds, checking product back into inventory, returns in point-of-sale, proper retagging of inventory, and correspondence with customers.
UPC & label verification.
Coordinate with other departments to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner to hit our commitments to our customers.
Coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
Great attention to detail to limit errors in shipping, receiving and processing returns.
