Bird’s Haven Farms is committed to only selling what we grow. We believe the customer has the right to know where and how their produce is grown. We believe you cannot ensure quality and control unless you know exactly how the produce was raised from seed. We are a small scale family farm that has been in business serving local community direct to customer for 30 years.
SUMMARY
This is manual work in the performance of semi-skilled farm tasks and is physically demanding in nature. Work ordinarily includes precise planting of seeds, transplanting seedlings using farm equipment, operating agricultural equipment, watering and irrigation, harvesting produce of high quality, and daily landscape tasks around the farm. All of these tasks are performed under the direction of an experienced employee, but constant supervision is not available which means we desire employees who ask questions and are self-learners. Employee must also complete additional tasks as assigned. Therefore, worker must be self-motivated and have a good work ethic. Work is reviewed for compliance with instructions and additional training is given when needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Employment on farm can be part-time with a preference of weekday mornings. We are closed on weekends. Performs related work as required. Personal transportation required.

o Direct and Transplanting of Crops
o Weed and Pest Control
o Customer Interaction and Retail Marketing as needed
o Other Duties as Assigned.
