Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 19-week travel assignment at a major academic medical center in Columbus, Ohio.
This role supports both inpatient and outpatient imaging services with a strong focus on PET/CT studies, primarily serving oncology patients.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This assignment is ideal for Nuclear Medicine Technologists experienced in PET/CT imaging who are comfortable working in a high-volume, oncology-focused imaging environment.
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
- 19-week contract
- Monday–Friday schedule
- 5x8 Day shifts
- Start times vary between 06:00–09:30 (flexibility required)
- One evening shift per month required
- One Saturday per month required
- Optional 10-hour shifts during holiday weeks
COMPENSATION
- Gross: $3,237 per week
- W2: $44.00 per hour
- Tax-Free Stipend: $1,477 per week
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform PET/CT imaging studies
- Conduct whole-body FDG PET/CT scans
- Support brain PET and limited cardiac PET imaging
- Perform neuroendocrine imaging studies
- Start IVs and manage imaging workflows
- Utilize PACS and imaging systems
- Collaborate with oncology and interdisciplinary teams
UNIT OVERVIEW
- High-volume PET/CT program (approximately 33 scans daily)
- Inpatient and outpatient imaging services
- Siemens PET/CT scanners (2 units)
- Academic medical center environment
Requirements:
- Active ARRT (R) or NMTCB certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year Nuclear Medicine experience required
- PET/CT experience required
- Experience with IV starts and PACS required
- Ability to work flexible start times required
- Ability to work one evening shift and one Saturday per month required
- Must meet Ohio fingerprinting and compliance deadlines

- Tier 4 travel compliance required
- Ohio fingerprinting required immediately upon booking
- Locals accepted at same rate
- Must submit RTO with submission
- 2 professional references required (1 leadership-level)
- Former employees eligible after 6 months
- Current employees not eligible
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
