Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Staff member to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining building systems, performing repairs, and supporting daily operations through hands-on technical skills. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Repair electrical equipment using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters and hand tools.
- Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance, including troubleshooting thermostats, filters, compressors, and ductwork.
- Carry out plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
- Utilize welding techniques for metal repairs and fabrication tasks as needed.
- Maintain building interior by performing painting (including residential painting), carpentry, and general facilities upkeep.
- Read schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately; operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated systems.
- Use electrical equipment repair skills to troubleshoot circuit issues and replace faulty components.
- Support facilities equipment maintenance by managing hand tools, power tools, and specialized repair equipment efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and communicating clearly with staff or residents about repair status.
- Lead safety protocols during maintenance activities to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), with a strong foundation in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, and mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, building interior maintenance standards, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment repair, welding, carpentry, and plumbing system maintenance is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively along with specialized electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members or residents.
