Furniture Assembly / Shop Production
Mable Furniture LLC is looking for a dependable Furniture Assembly / Shop Production employee to join our manufacturing team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in building a quality product. No furniture manufacturing experience is required for the right candidate; we can train someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn.
What You'll Do
- Assemble office and school furniture and cabinetry
- Install hardware, hinges, drawer slides, and other components
- Read basic shop drawings and assembly instructions
- Inspect finished parts and assemblies for quality
- Prepare completed products for packaging and shipment
- Package and protect finished furniture
- Load and unload materials and finished products
- Move materials and components throughout the shop
- Assist machine operators with production as needed
- Perform sanding, cleanup, and other finishing tasks
- Maintain an organized and safe work area
- Learn and assist with various production equipment as skills develop
What We're Looking For
- Manufacturing, woodworking, furniture, or construction experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Good hand skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Comfortable reading a tape measure
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to regularly lift and move furniture components and sheet goods
Opportunity to Learn
This is not strictly an assembly position. Employees who demonstrate the ability and interest can be cross-trained in machine operation, including CNC, edgebanding, drilling, and other production equipment.
Compensation
$18–$22 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday
