Qualifications:
- Previous teaching/tutoring experience (licensure preferred).
- Demonstrated mastery of fundamental concepts in classes you plan to tutor in.
- Ability to travel to meet students in person or online with an effective ptotocol
Preferences:
- Degree or coursework in a relevant field (Math, Bio, Chem, Physics, Education, English, Spanish, etc.)
- Comfort working online and using Notability, Desmos, and Google Suite products.
- 1400+ SAT or 30+ ACT
Possible Subject Areas:
- Reading/Phonics
- Writing/Grammar
- Math (Elementary Math through Calculus)
- SAT/ACT Test Prep
- Science (Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Astronomy, etc.)
- Humanities (ELA, Social Studies, etc.)

- Academic Coaching (Organization, Planning, HW Help, etc.)
Responsibilities:
Working with Us
- Demonstrate mastery of subjects you want to tutor in.
- Curate a biography to be listed on our website.
- Respond to tutoring opportunities as either interested or not interested.
- Log sessions within 48 hours, accounting for meeting length and additional meeting notes.
- Provide feedback on how we can better support you in your tutoring experience.
Working with Families & Students
- Identify overarching tutoring goals and student needs.
- Determine how to best support students in accomplishing these goals and meeting these needs.
- Coordinate and schedule tutoring appointments.
- Show up to tutoring sessions on time and prepared to meet student needs specific for that session (homework help, preparing for assessments, developing executive functioning & study habits, etc.).
- Communicate about student progress and performance periodically.
