Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Steward/Prep Cook to support our kitchen operations. This dual-role position is responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness, supporting food preparation, and ensuring kitchen equipment is clean and ready for use. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for food service.
Key Responsibilities:
Steward Duties:

Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils by hand or using commercial dishwashing equipment.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and equipment.

Dispose of trash and recyclables in a safe and timely manner.

Ensure all cleaning supplies are properly stored and stocked.

Follow health and safety regulations in all cleaning procedures.
Prep Cook Duties:

Assist with basic food preparation tasks (e.g., chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, portioning food).

Ensure prep station is set up and stocked with necessary supplies.

Label and store food items according to safety and hygiene guidelines.

Assist chefs and cooks with other tasks as needed during service.

Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times.
Qualifications:

Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Must be able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
