Job Duties

Good communication with clients for accessing and setting up training dates.

Learning and developing safe and balanced programs that suit the client.

Dependable and punctual for each of a client's sessions.

Assessing each program for progression and routine changes.

Keeping records of client's payment/punch cards.

Additional Requirements:

Must pass a background check.

All staff must obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of hire (training provided at YMCA cost).
All trainer pay will be based on qualifications, certification and experience and will start at a minimum of $24.00 an hour.

Flexible hours to fit your schedule and clients when the Y is open 4:30am-9:00pm Monday - Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm Saturday, 10:00am-5:00pm Sunday.

Base knowledge of the importance of strength training.

Average athletic ability.

Enjoys working with people and helping them lead healthier lives.

Accountable, punctual, and friendly.
Preferred Skills

Currently active in a solid lifting regimen.

Capable of executing proper strength training technique.
-
Solid knowledge about balanced strength training programs.
-
Understands muscle failure, balanced routines and rest days.
- Personal Training Certified.

Experience in personal training.
