American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 2 years of recent experience and a minimum of one completed travel assignment.

Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit, serving as an overflow, post-surgical, and observation unit
-
Patient ratio of 1:6-7; unit is transitioning to a team nursing model with LPN support

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

On-call required as needed

Weekend work required as needed

Floating may occur between like units and campuses within 20 miles; cross-campus floating is rare

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Active RN license — TN state license or NLC compact license required; no pending licensure accepted

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required; 3+ years preferred

At least one completed travel assignment required; first-time travelers are not eligible

ADN or higher required for this position

Valid Driver's License required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; RTO requests submitted after an offer is made will not be forwarded for approval

If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered

Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
