Job Description: Personal Care Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices and techniques
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up living areas
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with clients in a compassionate manner
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation to travel to client's homes or facilities
- Flexibility in scheduling, as some shifts may include evenings, weekends, or holidays
