Job Overview
We are looking for someone who is CPR/BLS certified, has a current RDA license, experience with dental X-rays and dental software, ability to assist in general dentistry procedures, knowledge of infection control and OSHA guidlines. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, punctual and professional. Being bilingual and having experience with open dental is a plus. We are willing to train our new team memeber in all areas.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies.
- Assist dentists during various procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and professionalism.
- Take dental x-rays using advanced medical imaging technology like digital dental x-ray systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring accurate data entry within patient management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Conduct vital signs assessments and document findings to support comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care instructions, and answer questions related to general dentistry procedures.
- Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical information with integrity and professionalism.
Experience
- Knowledge of dental terminology, dental equipment operation, and infection control protocols is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry practices and working with children is a plus.
- Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise, including dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and collaboration within a healthcare team dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care.
