Ardy Medical Supply is a Miami-based provider of orthotics, prosthetics, and durable medical equipment (DMEPOS). We are looking for a detail-oriented billing specialist to own our claims process end to end and keep revenue moving cleanly through Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit clean claims to Medicare Part B, Florida Medicaid, and commercial payers, with correct HCPCS codes and modifiers (KX, GA, GY, GZ, RT/LT, etc.)
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits, and obtain prior authorizations where required
- Ensure documentation requirements are met before billing (proof of delivery, detailed written orders, ABNs, medical necessity records)
- Post payments and ERAs, reconcile remittances, and identify underpayments
- Work denials and rejections, file appeals, and manage A/R follow-up to keep aging under control
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and Medicare/DMEPOS documentation and supplier standards
- Communicate with referral sources, payers, and patients on billing questions
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience, DMEPOS or O&P strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Medicare Part B and DME claims, HCPCS coding, and modifier usage
- Experience with DME billing software (Cortex, Waystar or similar)
- Familiarity with denials, appeals, and A/R workflows
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with payer portals and EDI
- CPB, CPC, or equivalent certification a plus
