Starside Security & Investigation, Inc. Detention Services Division (DSD) is looking for California Licensed Armed & Unarmed Security Officers for Starside’s ATF, DEA, ICE, HSI and DHS Contracts in San Diego & Imperial Counties. Our Detention Security Officers (DSO’S) work at various ATF, DEA, and HSI accounts gaining experience to become a Detention Officer at Starside. Starside’s Detention Security Officers transport inmates from various facilities protecting and securing both the public and the Detainee by preventing escape. Starside also protects the public and the inmate from harm, by providing constant visual observation.
Ideal Candidate:
- Clean Background / Clear Credit / DMV (No Convictions (At all or pattern of arrests)
- Pass a Pre-employment Physical
- California Guard Card
- California Exposed Firearms Permit, (40 Caliber or 9mm primary service weapon), If Armed
- Previous Government Service a plus
- Willing to work as needed most positions are over 40 hours per week
- Graduation from a Police Academy or Detention Academy a plus
- Special Operations / Military a plus (verified by DD214)
- All Starside employees must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Clearance
Compensation is $22.30 Unarmed and $26.20 Armed per hour. Detention Security Officers must be approved by the government and pass their background. Starside offers 80 Hours vacation and 56 hours of sick time after 1 year of employment, (as a percentage of fulltime)
