Join the National Resource Center for Youth Services (NRCYS) at the University of Oklahoma (College of Continuing Education/Outreach) and be part of a team dedicated to improving the effectiveness of human services through training, consultation, and technical assistance in Oklahoma and across the nation for over 50 years. NRCYS is a leader in youth service philosophy, best practices, and youth engagement. The Curriculum Specialist plays a key role in developing engaging, high-quality training materials that support NRCYS¿s mission and services. This position collaborates with subject matter experts, project teams, and leadership to design, develop, and refine curriculum for trainings, conferences, and technical assistance efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, a commitment to effective adult learning practices, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, practical resources that make a meaningful impact for professionals serving youth and families.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or Human Relations and experience in adult learning development and design.
- Knowledge of or experience working with children, youth, and families or within human services systems.
- Assists with curriculum development and design of training materials.
- Researches and applies course design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Assists in preparing and organizing content and format for courses, conferences, and other training events.
- Develops and revises training manuals, trainer guides, and other support materials for courses.
- Collaborates with customers and project teams on promotional materials, course design, and program content and methodologies.
- Tracks curriculum through all stages of development, revision, production, release, and promotion.
- Performs other duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
