Qualifications and Responsibilities.
(a) Assist in the implementation of daily activities.
(b) After some training and experience, teach daily lessons and manage a classroom.
( 1) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.
(2) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate, including 600 or more hours of secondary training.
(3) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate, 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of experience with children.
(4) A high school diploma or a general education development certificate and completion of a post-secondary training curriculum described in § 3270.31(c).
(5) A high school diploma or a general educational development certificate and 2 years experience with children.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
(1) General management of the assigned Classroom, to include any/all of the following duties:
· Supervise daily operations of The Classroom in compliance with state regulations
· Change diapers
· Feed and care for children
· Clean room
· Empty trash
· Vacuum or mop floor
· Wipe mats
· Professional development in accordance with DHS Regulations, Stars Quality Initiative, and NAEYC
· Classroom program planning in collaboration with lead teachers -- curriculum implementation through written lesson plans aligned with state standards
· Executing the facility’s program objectives and activities
Note: Bachelor or Associates Degree is preferred, but not required
Pay: $17.00 per hour
