Work Calendar: School-year schedule (with opportunities for summer program shifts)
Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Salary: $18 per hour
Do you want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs? Join Linden Oaks as a Paraprofessional. As a Paraprofessional at Linden Oaks, you’ll be an essential part of each student’s educational journey, supporting communication development, academics, behavior strategies, and social skills. Working alongside our credentialed teachers and robust interdisciplinary therapy team, you will help implement individualized programs that support every student’s growth and success.
What You’ll Do
- Support instruction by reinforcing academic, social, communication, and functional goals.
- Work 1:1 or in small groups to help students engage in meaningful learning.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environment.
- Support set-up and clean-up of materials and help maintain a well-organized space.
- Monitor students in classrooms, community-based instruction, playgrounds, and school buses.
- Assist with personal care needs including toileting, diapering, eating, and dressing.
- Help implement behavior support strategies and crisis prevention procedures when needed.
- Participate in data collection and communication with instructional staff.
- Actively support student participation in community outings, vocational tasks, and daily living skills.
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Experience working with youth or individuals with disabilities preferred
- Strong communication, patience, and teamwork mindset
- Ability to build supportive, professional relationships with students and staff
- Specialized skills such as ASL or bilingual fluency welcomed
