As part of the Apéro / La Bohème family, the restaurant continues a legacy of intimate dining rooms and elevated yet playful cuisine. Italian with a little magic. Opening in Foggy Bottom, Mid‑Summer 2026.
We are seeking a Sous Chef to join our opening team and help shape the culinary identity of this new concept from day one.

Role Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef in menu development, prep systems, and daily operations
- Uphold quality standards and ensure dishes are executed with precision
- Train, guide, and inspire the culinary team
- Maintain kitchen organization, inventory, and food safety compliance
- Contribute creatively to specials, tasting menus, and pasta program development
Schedule, Compensation & Benefits
Ellizabetta | La Strega will operate Tuesday through Saturday for Lunch Service & Tuesday through Sunday for Dinner Service. The Sous Chef role is full‑time and salaried, with a compensation range of $68,000–$75,000 (Salary is based on experience with inclusion of benefits and tips). The Beginning schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday during training, and then transition to Wednesday through Sunday, OFF Monday & Tuesday.
