The Goddard School of Chagrin Falls, Ohio is seeking a passionate, experienced Lead and/or Assistant Teachers with the skills and desire to provide children with a nurturing, child centered learning experience!
The Goddard School is an industry-leading child-care center for children from six weeks to six years. At Goddard, children are encouraged to develop at their own pace.

Here is what we look for in you! Lead Teachers, with help from their Assistant Teacher (or co-lead), are responsible for ensuring compliance with Goddard's industry-leading Health & Safety Quality Assurance standards. Our Lead teachers are given weekly lesson planning time outside the classroom. Most importantly, they create a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning. We are also happy to work with our teachers daily to ensure they are provided with whatever they need to maintain a healthy work environment, as well as a classroom filled with fun-based learning!

Lead Teacher Qualifications: Associates or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field preferredCDA and Early Childhood Degree
Prior classroom experience (Preferred, will train) Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practicesStrong written and communication skills
Assistant Teacher Qualifications: High School DiplomaPrior childcare experience (Preferred, will train) Pursuing degree (CDA and Early Childhood Degree partnerships) Child Care Experience: 1 year (Preferred, will train)
Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience working with infants and toddlers in licensed childcare centers or preschools.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to early childhood education and toddler care.
- Experience in curriculum development focused on literacy education, math readiness, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior proactively while creating a positive learning atmosphere through classroom management techniques.
