Duties
- Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori methods and preschool curricula
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills through effective classroom management techniques
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities focused on literacy, math, physical education, and sensory exploration to support holistic development
- Utilize behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and resolve conflicts constructively
- Collaborate with families, special education professionals, and early intervention specialists to support individual learning plans and child welfare needs
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly
- Maintain detailed records of children's developmental milestones, attendance, and educational progress
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or daycare settings is essential
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or literacy activities
- Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches such as preschool or private school environments
- Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and external specialists
- Previous experience with standardized testing, tutoring, or working with students across diverse learning needs is advantageous
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
