Mt Playmore is a high-energy Children’s Entertainment Center looking for a solo Facilities Maintenance Technician. In this role, you are the department. There is no staff to manage—just a great facility to keep safe, functional, and looking sharp. You’ll handle the daily hands-on repairs, and when a job requires a specialized license (like major HVAC or commercial electrical), you’ll be the guy who calls in the right contractor and oversees the project.
What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like (The Real Work)
- Hands-on Repairs: You’ll be doing the heavy lifting—professional drywall patching, texture, painting, minor plumbing (unclogging drains, fixing handles), and general "fix-it" tasks.
- Building Upkeep: Doing daily walkthroughs to spot safety hazards before they become problems (loose trim, broken fixtures, etc.).
- Vendor Coordination: When a job is too big or requires a license, you’ll get bids from local contractors, schedule them, and make sure they do the job right.
- Code Compliance: Keeping an eye on fire extinguishers, exit signs, and basic city safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- The "Fix-It" Gene: You have real, practical experience in commercial or residential maintenance. Excellent painting and drywall skills are required.
- The Solo Operator: You don’t need a boss looking over your shoulder to get things done. You take pride in ownership and see what needs to be fixed before being asked.
- Resourceful: You know when to fix it yourself and when to say, "This needs a licensed plumber/electrician."
