Job Overview
Busy ophthalmology practice seeking a full-time Medical Scribe to support multiple physicians, rotating between providers as needed. This role focuses on real-time documentation and maintaining efficient patient flow in a high-volume clinic.
Duties
- Scribe for physicians during patient visits (real-time documentation in EMR)
- Rotate between providers based on daily clinic needs
- Document histories, exams, procedures, and treatment plans
- Adapt to different provider workflows and preferences
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and timely documentation
- Maintain strong ophthalmic anatomy and physiology knowledge for accurate documentation
Skills
- Medical scribe experience required (ophthalmology preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ocular anatomy
- Experience working within EMR/EHR systems
- Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Background in medical office or healthcare environment is preferred.
- Ability to document complex medical information clearly and professionally.

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Ophthalmology: 1 year (Preferred)
- Medical transcription: 1 year (Preferred)
