Job Summary
380 Fix It Handyman Services is seeking an experienced, dependable Handyman Technician to join our growing team. You will complete residential repairs, maintenance projects, installations, and customer honey-do lists throughout Prosper, North Dallas, and surrounding communities.
The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally, and can complete a variety of home repairs safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and complete residential repairs and maintenance
- Perform drywall repair, painting, caulking, and minor carpentry
- Repair and adjust doors, trim, cabinets, and hardware
- Install ceiling fans, light fixtures, faucets, and household fixtures
- Complete minor plumbing and electrical repairs within the permitted scope of work
- Assemble furniture and install shelving, artwork, televisions, and accessories
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Protect customers’ homes and clean up thoroughly after every job
- Communicate clearly with customers about completed work and recommendations
- Document completed work and collect required job information
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles
- Arrive on time and provide friendly, professional customer service
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of professional handyman, construction, remodeling, or home-repair experience
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check
- Reliable transportation to the designated reporting location
- Working knowledge of common hand and power tools
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and work while standing, bending, or kneeling
- Smartphone and basic ability to use mobile apps
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, honest, and detail-oriented
- Live within 30min drive from Hwy 380 and FM 423
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multiple trades, including carpentry, drywall, painting, minor plumbing, and light electrical work
- Residential service and customer-service experience
- Experience evaluating repairs and preparing material lists
- Ownership of basic hand tools
