Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing property leasing processes, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to prospective tenants. This position requires strong communication skills, negotiation abilities, and a thorough understanding of property management practices.
Duties
- Assist potential tenants in the leasing process by providing information about available properties and amenities.
- Conduct property tours and showcase units to prospective renters.
- Manage lease agreements, ensuring compliance with landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
- Utilize property management software such as AppFolio for data entry, filing, and customer relationship management.
- Handle inquiries via phone and email with excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant applications, contracts, and lease renewals.
- Collaborate with the property maintenance team to address tenant concerns and ensure properties are well-maintained.
- Upsell additional services or amenities to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.
- Engage in conflict management to resolve tenant issues effectively while maintaining positive relationships.
Requirements
- Previous experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of California landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations is essential.
- Strong sales skills with a proven ability to negotiate contracts effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with tenants.
- Proficiency in data entry and administrative tasks
- AppFolio Experience Preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong conflict management skills to handle tenant disputes professionally.
