About Genie Academy
Genie Academy is a K–12 supplemental education company based in New Jersey with centers across Central Jersey, including East Brunswick, Morganville, South Plainfield, Woodbridge, Hillsboro, Iselin, and Long Branch. We teach math, reading, writing, coding, abacus mental math, and SAT prep in small groups of 3–6 students.
About the Role
We're looking for a part-time SAT Tutor to deliver high-quality test prep instruction in Math and/or Reading & Writing. You'll work across multiple center locations, teaching in our structured small-group format.
Schedule
Monday – Friday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Deliver SAT prep instruction in Math and/or Reading & Writing to small groups of K–12 students
- Follow Genie Academy's curriculum and program cycles
- Maintain an engaging, structured classroom environment
- Travel between assigned center locations as needed
Requirements
- Prior SAT tutoring or test prep experience (Math and/or Reading & Writing)
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license (multi-center travel required)
- Available for the full weekly schedule listed above
- Committed to completing full program cycles — no mid-cycle departures
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with students of varying levels
Nice to Have
- Experience teaching in a small-group or classroom setting
- Background in education, tutoring, or a related field
Compensation
Competitive — based on experience
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
