The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments while ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, transportation requirements, and internal quality standards. This position works closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to support timely, accurate movement of materials throughout the supply chain.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments.
- Monitor shipment activity and proactively resolve transportation or delivery issues.
- Prepare and maintain import/export documentation in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with freight carriers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export requirements, and brokerage processes.
- Investigate shipping discrepancies, shipment delays, and transportation claims.
- Process freight invoices and ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
- Track domestic and international shipments from origin through final delivery.
- Assist with freight audits, transportation reporting, and month-end activities.
- Support inventory movement, shipping documentation, and warehouse coordination.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external logistics partners.
- Provide backup support for Shipping Specialists and cross-functional logistics activities as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Business or a related field preferred

4 years of directly related logistics experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience with transportation, shipping, logistics, import/export, or supply chain operations.
- Working knowledge of freight documentation, transportation methods, and shipping regulations.
- Familiarity with import/export compliance, including Harmonized System (HS) classifications and NAFTA/USMCA concepts preferred.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
