Summary
The Accounting Administrative Assistant supports the finance team by balancing basic bookkeeping with general office duties. The Administrative Assistant will assist both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable by managing vendor files, data entry, and handling clerical tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including verifying and entering vendor invoices.
- Ensure accurate data entry into QuickBooks.
Administrative & Clerical
· Handle office correspondence, email routing, and mail distribution.
· Organize and maintain both physical and digital filing systems, ensuring sensitive financial records remain confidential.
Competencies
· Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) is preferred but not required.
· Organization: The ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for dealing with vendors, clients, and internal staff.
Qualifications and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· 1-3 years of prior experience in an administrative, accounting or bookkeeping role preferred but not required.
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background and credit check.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
