Duties
- Operate bucket trucks and other equipment safely to access trees at various heights for trimming, pruning, or removal
- Use rigging techniques to carefully lower large branches or entire trees, ensuring safety for team members and property
- Perform tree care tasks including trimming, shaping, and health assessments to promote growth and vitality
- Assist with landscape maintenance activities such as lawn care, planting, mulching, and general landscaping tasks
- Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documenting tree locations and health status when required
- Conduct routine inspections of trees and landscapes to identify hazards or disease signs that need attention
- Support team efforts in equipment setup, cleanup, and maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Prior experience or growing knowledge in tree care, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to operate bucket trucks safely along with familiarity with bucket operation is highly desirable
- Knowledge of rigging techniques for safe tree removal or pruning is a plus
- Basic understanding of GIS mapping tools or willingness to learn their use on the job
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow safety protocols diligently
- Valid driver’s license; certification in bucket truck operation or related equipment is an advantage
