Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)
- Support the hairstylist with hair styling, hair color, and hair threading to ensure seamless client service
- Assist in applying color theory techniques to enhance the client's look
- Maintain salon sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas regularly
- Managing front desk duties, including appointment scheduling using salon software, is a plus, and handling client check-ins
- Engage with clients through excellent customer service, offering product recommendations and retail sales opportunities, including hair care products
- Help with store management tasks like inventory tracking and retail math calculations to optimize product displays and stock levels
Experience
- Previous experience or training in cosmetology or barbering is required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Familiarity with salon software platforms and social media is a plus
- Knowledge of hair styling techniques, color theory, and sanitation practices is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Experience in retail sales, upselling products, and providing excellent customer service will set you apart
- Certification in cosmetology or barbering is advantageous
