Duties
- Lead, supervise, and manage electrical crews on construction sites, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
- Review and interpret complex construction drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints to guide installation processes.
- Coordinate project schedules using Primavera P6 or HeavyBid to ensure timely completion of electrical tasks aligned with overall project milestones.
- Oversee safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards, promoting a culture of safety on all sites.
- Manage procurement, contracts, and budgets related to electrical components and labor, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
- Conduct quality control inspections, supervise the review of construction drawings, and ensure work meets all relevant codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to facilitate clear communication regarding project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Supervise team performance through management best practices, crew management techniques, and effective managerial communication.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam for documentation, reporting, and project tracking purposes.
- Ensure proper use of tools like ohmmeters for testing electrical systems' integrity and troubleshooting issues efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy commercial or infrastructure construction projects with a focus on electrical systems.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing teams in a construction management role with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling tools including Primavera P6 or Primavera; familiarity with HeavyBid is a plus.
- Extensive understanding of blueprint reading, technical drawings interpretation, and construction drawing review processes.
- Hands-on experience with construction safety management practices aligned with OSHA standards and federal regulations.
- Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality control and safety compliance.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam for documentation and collaboration purposes.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications accurately while overseeing the installation of electrical systems on-site.
- Prior commercial construction experience is highly desirable; knowledge of pipeline projects or large-scale infrastructure is advantageous.
