Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Hotel General Manager to lead our Springhill Suites property. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and financial performance. Your leadership will inspire a team dedicated to hospitality excellence, fostering a welcoming environment that exceeds guest expectations. As the face of the hotel, you will coordinate departments such as front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance to deliver seamless service. Your expertise in hospitality management, revenue optimization, and human resources will drive the success of our hotel while maintaining high standards of guest relations and operational efficiency.
Duties
- Lead and supervise all hotel departments, including front desk operations, guest services, housekeeping, and food & beverage to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize revenue through effective revenue management techniques while controlling costs within budgetary guidelines.
- Oversee guest relations by ensuring high-quality customer service, resolving complaints promptly, and fostering positive guest experiences.
- Manage human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development to build a motivated and professional team.
- Coordinate night audit procedures and oversee the front desk team handling multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette.
- Monitor hotel financials including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control to meet or exceed financial goals.
- Maintain compliance with hospitality standards, safety regulations, and company policies while promoting a positive work environment.
- Utilize multilingual or bilingual skills to enhance communication with diverse guests and staff when applicable.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles with supervising experience in a resort or hotel setting.
- Strong background in revenue management, budgeting, human resources, and guest services.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Knowledge of hotel management systems, front desk operations, night audit procedures, and multi-line phone systems.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse guests and staff.
- Experience in hospitality management roles that involve supervising front desk staff, night audit operations, or resort services is preferred.
