Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support classroom activities and enhance the learning experience for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and will be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all learners. This role involves working closely with lead teachers to implement lesson plans, manage classroom dynamics, and support students’ individual needs.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons that align with curriculum standards.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive learning environment and addressing behavioral issues as they arise.
- Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts in subjects such as math and literacy.
- Participate in lesson planning and contribute ideas for activities that promote childhood development.
- Foster relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional growth.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a classroom setting is preferred; experience in Montessori or private school environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective teaching strategies.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while promoting a supportive learning atmosphere.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in education practices.
- PT & FT Available
- PT Shift is 3:00-5:45, M-F.
- FT Shift is 8:00-4:30, M-F.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
