Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Helper to assist with appliance delivery and installation tasks. This non-driving role is vital in supporting our field service team by handling the physical aspects of appliance setup, ensuring smooth and efficient installations for our customers. Duties
- Assist delivery drivers with loading, unloading, and transporting appliances using appropriate equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and box trucks
- Support the installation of appliances by following schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and plumbing instructions
- Use ladder equipment safely to access installation sites at customer locations
- Troubleshoot basic appliance issues, including mechanical or electrical problems, to ensure proper functioning during installation
- Perform minor repairs or adjustments on appliances using hand tools and equipment repair techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after installations to ensure safety and efficiency
- Communicate professionally with customers to coordinate delivery times, answer basic questions, and ensure a positive service experience
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
- Appliance installation experience is a plus, but willing to train.
- Must have your own tools such as drill, drill batteries, drill bits etc.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Ability to operate a box truck and navigate various routes effectively.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and moving items throughout the day.
