BASIC FUNCTION: The Assistant Property Manager contributes to the financial aspects of the community while also providing excellent customer service to residents and prospective residents. The Assistant Property Manager supports both the Leasing Consultant and the Property Manager with their job responsibilities as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop positive relationships with prospective and current residents
- Address questions, concerns, and complaints in a timely manner
- Enter all deposit and rent checks
- Manage resident accounts to ensure rental payments are made on time and in full
- Send credit and balance letters
- Send utility delinquency letters
- Manage monthly property reports
- Ensure that all invoices received from Accounts Payable are approved and paid in a timely manner.
- Greet all prospective residents in a friendly and professional manner
- Generate interest in the community by touring the property and available apartment homes with prospects
- Maintain accurate availability and pricing
- Process prospective resident’s application
- Email move in information within 24 hours of application being approved
- Thoroughly inspect apartment home prior to move in and ensure any maintenance concerns are addressed
- All other duties as assigned or requested

- Detail oriented with the ability to manage time efficiently
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents and prospective residents
- Ability to calmly resolve disputes and complaints
