Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fine dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional guest service and have experience in the food industry. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences by delivering high-quality service, taking orders accurately, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the Toast POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper sanitation standards are met.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or special requests to enhance their dining experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.
- Process payments accurately while adhering to basic math principles.
- Uphold the highest standards of guest services throughout the dining experience.
Skills
- Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation procedures.
- Excellent guest service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Basic math skills for processing payments and managing tabs effectively.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- A background in sales or hospitality can be beneficial in upselling menu items.
