Job Summary
Are you an experienced paving professional who enjoys leading teams and delivering high-quality work? As a Paving Superintendent, you’ll oversee daily asphalt paving operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll coordinate crews, manage resources, and play a key part in building strong, successful projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee daily paving operations, including placement, rolling, and finishing
- Lead paving crews, foremen, and equipment operators to maximize productivity
- Coordinate asphalt, aggregate, and material deliveries with plant and logistics teams
- Monitor production rates, sequencing, and quality to meet schedule and budget goals
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all job sites
- Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), toolbox talks, and daily safety inspections
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards
- Address and correct unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately
- Partner with Project Managers to execute project plans and schedules
- Track and communicate daily progress, production, and any issues
- Maintain accurate documentation, including reports and equipment tracking
- Mentor, train, and develop foremen and crew members
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in the field

- Valid driver’s license required
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in asphalt paving, including leadership or supervisory roles
- Strong knowledge of paving methods, equipment, and materials
- Proven ability to lead crews and manage multiple work activities
- Solid understanding of construction safety practices
Preferred:
- Experience with DOT, municipal, or commercial paving projects
- Familiarity with GPS-controlled paving, intelligent compaction, or advanced technologies
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus

Pay: $101,000.00 - $152,000.00 per year
