American Precision Engineering (APE) is a fast-growing advanced manufacturing company building mission-critical parts and systems for aerospace, defense, robotics, and other cutting-edge industries. We’re looking to add a motivated, early-career CNC machinist to our machine shop—someone who wants to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in advanced manufacturing.

- Deburring, cleaning, prepping and finishing precision parts
- Inspecting parts using basic metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Working closely with machinists, engineers, and project managers
- Performing weekly maintenance on the machines you operate
- Learning how high-mix, high-precision work is actually done in a professional shop
What We’re Looking For
- A few years of hands-on experience in a machine shop or similar technical machine operator position. (school + shop experience counts)
- Strong work ethic: on time, reliable, teachable, and accountable
- Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and take feedback
- Pride in your work and attention to detail
- Works well as part of a team
- Interest in building a long-term career in advanced manufacturing
What Will Set You Apart
- Curiosity and a desire to understand why things are done a certain way
- Willingness to step up and help where needed
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
- Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines
- Interest in aerospace or high-precision work

- Clear path for skill development and advancement
- Exposure to complex, interesting, real-world parts
- A professional, well-organized shop that values quality and efficiency
- A team environment where effort and improvement are noticed and rewarded
If you’re early in your machining career and want to get better every day, learn from experienced people, and work on parts that actually matter, we want to hear from you.
