Join our dedicated healthcare team as a First Shift Medication Technician working 32 hours per week! In this vital role, you will be responsible for administering medications and providing exceptional patient care within assisted living. Your expertise will support residents and clients by ensuring safe medication management, accurate documentation, and compassionate caregiving. Duties
- Safely administer prescribed medications to residents or clients following all HIPAA and medical documentation protocols.
- Monitor vital signs, assess patient responses, and report any adverse reactions promptly.
- Assist with specialized care needs including Alzheimer’s, memory care, hospice.
- Support residents with activities of daily living such as mobility assistance, and personal hygiene in compliance with care plans.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care and proper medication management.
- Follow all safety procedures related to medical records confidentiality, medical terminology accuracy, and physiological knowledge to uphold the highest standards of patient safety.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration protocols.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards related to medical records.
- Ability to accurately measure vital signs and perform basic clinical tasks
