Overview
An indoor family entertainment venue in the Dallas area is seeking an experienced General Manager (GM) to oversee daily operations, team leadership, and guest experience.
This role is responsible for maintaining a strong team culture while ensuring operational excellence and delivering a consistently outstanding guest experience. The General Manager plays a critical role in leading staff, managing facility operations, and driving overall performance in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example and support the team by stepping into operational roles when needed
- Develop Assistant Managers and Team Leads into strong leaders and operational experts
- Build and maintain a positive workplace culture that motivates and recognizes team members
- Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management
- Remain visible on the floor to ensure guests have a memorable and engaging experience
- Manage and resolve guest concerns with professionalism and follow-up
- Oversee operational performance including expenses, purchasing, inventory, and P&L management
- Drive revenue growth through events, group bookings, and promotional programs
- Support marketing initiatives and build relationships within the local community
- Ensure all safety procedures and operational policies are consistently followed
- Monitor attractions and equipment daily to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Maintain inventory levels for facility operations, events, and food & beverage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (degree preferred)
- 5+ years of management experience required
- Strong background in high-volume, guest-facing environments such as:
- Indoor recreation or entertainment venues
- Fitness or gymnastics facilities
- Family entertainment centers (FECs)
- Hospitality, restaurant, or retail operations
- Experience managing attractions, activity zones, or structured guest flow environments strongly preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active role (on your feet for extended periods)
- Proficient with POS systems and basic office software
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
