Position Description:
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. This role requires a strong commitment to service excellence, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, producers, and carrier partners. The Account Manager serves as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, handling all service-related needs with professionalism, urgency, and expertise.
Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

Manage and service an assigned portfolio of commercial insurance accounts

Review insurance policies for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client needs

Process renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and new business applications

Prepare and issue certificates of insurance and evidence of property forms

Collaborate with producers to support account retention and growth strategies

Assist in preparing client proposals and supporting new business opportunities

Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date client files in accordance with agency procedures

Identify opportunities for policy enhancements, upgrades, and cross-selling additional coverages

Serve as the primary point of contact for client service inquires and requests

Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier underwriters to ensure efficient service and market support
Education & Experience:

Active Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License

Minimum of 2 years of commercial lines insurance experience (agency or carrier)

Working knowledge of commercial insurance products an coverages
