Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development & Marketing Manager to spearhead growth initiatives and elevate our brand presence. The role works under the direct supervision of the GM. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening client relationships for preclinical research services. Combines business development, account management, and marketing responsibilities. Business Development & Client Management
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct client presentations, business meetings, and facility tours to promote company capabilities and services.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with internal operational teams to align client expectations, study timelines, and program requirements.
- Communicate client concerns, feedback, and business opportunities to appropriate personnel to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
Proposal & Contract Support
- Coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of proposals, quotations, and related business development documents.
- Support contract negotiations and work closely with management and operational teams to facilitate project initiation.
Marketing & Brand Development
- Develop and maintain marketing materials, website content, and promotional collateral.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
- Support the company's presence at conferences, trade shows, webinars, and other industry events.
- Represent the organization professionally at industry meetings and networking events.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning
- Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and emerging client needs.
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to business development and marketing processes to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Anticipate market demands and contribute to the expansion of service offerings and business capabilities.

PLANNING & COLLABORATION
- Participate in the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing plans.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with scientific, operational, and executive teams to support business objectives.
- Coordinate client requirements and project expectations with internal stakeholders to ensure successful program execution.
- Contribute to decision-making processes by providing market insights, client feedback, and business development recommendations.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or account management within a CRO, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environment.
- Proven track record of generating new business and managing client relationships.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills with the ability to effectively communicate to internal and external audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and contribute to executive-level business decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- May be required to enter barrier animal facilities and comply with all facility access requirements, including shower-in procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as specified by applicable SOPs.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to perform job responsibilities.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
- Hybrid work environment consisting of office-based and remote work.
- Regular travel to client sites, conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
SCHEDULE
- Standard workweek: Monday through Friday.
- Standard work hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Additional hours may be required based on business needs and travel schedules.

COMPENSATION
Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 annually, plus commission and incentive opportunities based on performance.
