Sovereign Lifestyle is hiring a short-form video editor to help produce high-volume Instagram Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts each week.
This is a paid-per-reel position starting at $10 per completed reel, with the opportunity for raises based on performance.
The goal is to produce approximately 20 edited reels per week.
We are looking for someone fast, reliable, coachable, and detail-oriented. This role is best for someone who understands short-form content and can take raw talking-head fitness videos and turn them into clean, engaging reels.
We will handle the ideation, scripting, and filming.
Your role will be to edit the videos and upload the finished reels back into our shared cloud folder.

Responsibilities
Your weekly workflow will be simple:
- We will upload raw video clips to a shared Google Drive folder.
- We will provide examples of the editing style we want.
- You will download the raw clips.
- You will edit the reels in a clean short-form style.
- You will export the finished videos in vertical 9:16 format.
- You will upload the completed reels back into the shared folder.
- You will make simple revisions if needed.
Weekly Output
The goal is to edit approximately:
20 reels per week
This role requires someone who can work quickly and consistently.

Editing Style
Most reels will be talking-head fitness content.
Edits may include:
- Tight cuts
- Removing dead space
- Clean captions/subtitles
- Emphasis words on screen
- Simple zooms and punch-ins
- Basic transitions
- Light sound effects when appropriate
- Background music when appropriate
- Clean audio levels
- Basic color correction
- 9:16 vertical formatting
We are not looking for overly complex edits or heavy motion graphics.
The goal is simple:
Make the videos clean, fast-paced, easy to watch, and aligned with the example style we provide.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Experience editing Instagram Reels, TikToks, or YouTube Shorts
- Ability to follow reference videos closely
- Fast turnaround time
- Strong communication
- Clean captioning skills
- Good pacing and timing
- Ability to work from Google Drive
- Ability to handle 20 reels per week
- Attention to detail
- Experience with fitness or bodybuilding content is a plus
Compensation
This role starts at:
$10 per completed reel
There is opportunity for raises based on performance.
Raises will be based on:
- Editing quality
- Speed of delivery
- Ability to match the reference style
- Caption accuracy
- Low revision needs
- Communication
- Consistency
- Ability to handle weekly volume
If the editor proves to be reliable, fast, and consistently produces strong work, pay can increase over time.
Revisions
Each completed reel includes one simple revision if needed.
Major re-edits, complete style changes, or revisions caused by unclear direction may be counted as a new edit.
Trial Edit
To decide who we hire, we will give qualified applicants a trial edit.
We will provide:
- One raw video clip
- One example video showing the style we want
- Clear editing instructions
We will choose the editor who delivers the best combination of:
- Editing quality
- Speed
- Accuracy to the example style
- Clean captions
- Overall communication
The editor who produces the best video with the fastest turnaround will be considered for the ongoing role.
